While Still Life is currently at a peak with emerging photographers this exhibition looks to break away from the generic and regurgitated, focusing on how else this vibrant genre can been explored. Exhibiting the work of 9 emerging talents within the photography community from around the world, Seedless exhibits different approaches and new directions in which Still Life photography is heading.

Curated by Wandering Bears & Blink
06/02/2012 in collaboration with Blink we had the opening of Seedless, an exhibition that looks at challenging the conventions of still life. The exhibition displayed the work of 9 artists from all around the world. With an emphasis on an unconventional display, reflective of the work selected for the show. To an overwhelming success, a make shift still life studio was created for the audience to interact with and produce their own pieces of work with a view to a future publication. On top of all the compelling visual work we also had a short essay written by WB contributor Angella D’Avignon, discussing contemporary issues surrounding this popular genre of photography. (Available to download soon).
The show will remain open until the end of the week so if you happen to be in Plymouth please visit Scott Gallery and go take a still life snap! Our next step is to bring this exhibition online, stay tuned for news.
A massive thankyou to all artists and everyone else involved in making Seedless happen!
