Blog – Maxime Guyon

We first featured Swiss artist & ECAL student Maxime Guyon’s work last year through our Class of 2012 project, we then selected an image of his (which incidentally won) for our 1000 Likes competition. So to say Maxime is a talent we are keeping an eye on, is nothing but old news. So when he recently got in touch, we were excited to see what new concepts and direction his work was taking, comfortable and effective in the studio, his latest series Landscaping Studies steps out into the Swiss mountains, particularly the Rhône Glacier. Documenting these beautiful sights on location and later creating studio based sets, inspired by the natural environment, Guyon has created a series of images that approaches both still life and landscape photography with an intriguing and engaging process.
