Photography is Anouk Kruithof’s main medium as well she makes video-works, installations, artist-publications, collages and social in situ-works. Anouk Kruithof is fascinated by ‘the mental state of being of humans’ of her time and environment. With a conceptual approach, Kruithof tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way by applying a poetic and often metaphorical language. Currently living in New York, as the Artist in Residence as part of ‘photoglobal’ at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
